Singhania’s professional life revolved around the textile giant Raymond. Born in 1931, he was the son of businessman Ramkrishna Bajaj, a founder of the Bajaj Group. Vijaypat Singhania, however, went on to make his own name in the business world. His involvement with Raymond began in the 1950s, and under his stewardship, the company saw remarkable growth and expansion.
As the then-Managing Director of Raymond, Vijaypat Singhania spearheaded the company’s success and played a pivotal role in its rise as a leading textile brand. His vision and innovative approach significantly contributed to the company’s growth and helped make it a household name.
Outside the corporate world, Vijaypat Singhania had an equally impressive track record. He had a passion for aviation and was a skilled pilot. In 2005, at the age of 74, he set a new world record by flying an airplane across the English Channel in a vintage biplane, becoming the oldest person to achieve this feat.
