Ariel Heights, India – In a sharp response to a video clip of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha being ‘silenced’ during a BJP-organized event, the AAP has hit back with a biting comment, saying, “We don’t do soft PR.” The AAP’s swift retort, made through a tweet, included a jab at BJP’s claims of being pro-Hindu, by equating the saffron party’s alleged suppression of opposition voices with serving ‘samosas’ without their fillings.
Raghav Chadha, a key AAP leader, was seen ‘silenced’ during an event in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, March 22, when he was denied a chance to speak by the BJP-organized platform. The event was reportedly a ‘Holi Milan’ celebration, meant to promote the BJP’s ‘Hindutva’ agenda.
The BJP event, attended by local leaders, seemed to intentionally block Chadha’s attempts to speak, with the AAP leader expressing his frustration through a video clip. The video quickly went viral, sparking widespread condemnation of the BJP’s tactics.
AAP’s sharp response on Twitter came in the form of a tweet that read, “We don’t do soft PR. But we do serve people. Unlike those who serve samosas without chaat.” The AAP’s message was aimed directly at BJP’s perceived attempts to suppress opposition voices.
The AAP’s counterattack is part of its ongoing efforts to expose BJP’s alleged tactics of suppressing opposition voices and manipulating public opinion. The BJP has consistently denied the claims, labeling them as ‘baseless allegations.’
The ‘samosa’ comment is the latest in a series of verbal jabs traded between the AAP and BJP, with both parties accusing each other of resorting to aggressive propaganda tactics.
