The fallout from the June 8 explosion at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant continues to deepen, with the death toll now reaching 10. The accident occurred in the Steel Melting Shop when a ladle carrying molten steel reportedly exploded, triggering a massive fire and causing catastrophic burn injuries to workers on duty.
Following the tragedy, plant management and authorities have come under intense scrutiny. Reports indicate that 22 officials have been suspended pending a detailed inquiry into the incident.
